Biography
Ksenia Sukhinova won the 2007 Miss Russia pageant on 14 December 2007 in Moscow and Miss World 2008. She also appeared in all of the postcards that introduced every participating song in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.  She was the Miss World 2008 Beach Beauty competition second runner-up, placing after Miss Mexico who was the eventual winner, and Miss South Africa, the first runner-up. She won the Miss World Top Model competition on December 3, 2008.

Earlier Ksenia Sukhinova has tried sports, like gymnastics, swimming, ballet and biathlon, but gave them all up when entering the university. She is a student at the Tyumen Oil and Gas University. She was recognized as an outstanding student in 2006 in her University. She likes to travel, spend time with her parents, friends and cat. Her favorite band is Sting. She thinks her greatest achievement is being recognized as the most beautiful girl in Russia. Her favorite movie is “Moscow doesn’t believe in tears.” She admires Ole Einar Bjorndalen, a biathlonist and Olympic champion the most.
