Biography
Riccobono was born in 1983 in Palermo, the largest city in Sicily. She has three older sisters and a brother who died when she was four. Friends of hers include fellow models Mariacarla Boscono, Bianca Balti, Natalia Vodianova, Julia Stegner, Andreea Stancu, Jeisa Chiminazzo and Beatrice Borromeo.
When Riccobono was 17, the Italian magazine Corriere della Sera named her "the new Laetitia Casta" because of facial similarities. She started traveling internationally and has appeared on magazine covers such as Vogue, Elle, Twill France, Rouge Canada, Cosmopolitan, L'Officiel, Vanity Fair, and Italian Playboy, and appeared in advertisements for the likes of Chanel, Hermès, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Gianfranco Ferré, Dolce & Gabbana, Sonia Rykiel, Roberto Cavalli, Trussardi, Celine, L'Oréal, Alberta Ferretti, Valentino and Lee, shot by notable photographers such as Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier and Steven Meisel. In 2007, she became the face of Hybris, shot by singer Bryan Adams.
In 2002, she appeared on the TV program Stasera Pago Io with host Fiorello. She has also posed for the 2003 Pirelli Calendar, shot by Bruce Weber. In 2008, Riccobono was engaged to be the testimonial[clarification needed] for a new satellite channel about luxury and lifestyle: High Life TV. Riccobono was shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz for the 2009 "Lavazza Calendar", for which she was featured on the cover.
In 2009, she became the new face of Argentovivo for their spring/summer campaign by Marco Glaviano.
2010: Face of Valentino handbags & Design by Enzo Fusco campaigns. Featured in the Fall/Winter 2010 cover of Independent Style by photographer Angelo Ghidoni.
Featured in "Specialty Of The House": an editorial by Stefano Triulzi in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar Japan.
2011: Featured on the February cover of Max by Ellen Von Unwerth. Fourth time as face of Valentino handbags for the S/S 2011 campaign.
