Career
Déborah François made her film debut in the Dardenne Brother's L/Enfant (The Child). The film won the Golden Palm at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. François won the Joseph Plateau Award for Best Belgian Actress for her portrayal of a teen mother whose infant is kidnapped by her boyfriend. She was also nominated for a Cesar for Most Promising Actress for her performance.

Déborah François's second role was equally performance. She stars as Mélanie Prouvost, a self possessed young woman, who quietly sets out to destroy a concert pianist's life in Denis Dercourt's chilling thriller La Tourneuse de pages (The Page Turner). Francois received her second Cesar nomination Most Promising Actress.

She has recently finished production in two upcoming films: Stéphan Carpiaux's Les Fourmis rouges (Red Ants) and Alain Raoust's L'Été indien.
The role in L'Enfant was the springboard of what has become a very successful career in French film.

She starred in the Palme d'Or winning film L'Enfant (2005) playing the lead role of Sonya, La Tourneuse de Pages (2006), Les Femmes de l'Ombre (2008), Unmade Beds (2009) and My Queen Karo (2009).
